Why a Pay What You Want system?

For a while we've struggled with a business model that is both sustainable for us as a label and rewarding for our artists. We weren't accomplishing this with our CD releases so we gave up on the traditional approach and decided to make our music available for free under a Creative Commons Attribution Noncommercial Share Alike 3.0 License and set up a process for passing your support on the the artists if you, the listener feel like doing so.

Think of it as busking in the 21st century.
