Tiger Tunes

Various musical styles are all mixed up in this lighthearted fusion/pop-electronica album: bleeping deep techno, warm-down ambient, minimalistic groove, chicest experimental sounds collages, delicate chattering rhythms, laid-back techno kung fu... Fun machine! Special thanks goes to Michael Hartman for additional sounds and recordings, Denis Teremsky, Aleksey Petin, Oksana Samoylova, P_SH.

Chicago Sound Map - Performs Compositions by Olivia Block and Ernst Karel

Recorded on April 8, 2008 in the Claudia Cassidy Theater at the Chicago Cultural Center, Chicago, Illinois. Stop the Sound of the Big Bell mixes traditional and graphic notational techniques leaving open spaces for structured improvisation for each player at different times. It is designed so the improvised segments fit within the larger framework of the piece, instead of driving the form of the composition.
